Commonly called an A.A. degree, this arts degree is designed to provide the student introductory information into the arts that would be a foundation for continued study in a bachelor's degree program. An arts degree could include majors in communication, liberal arts, English or writing, design, languages, acting, humanities, philosophy and more. Students planning to use this degree directly in the workforce should receive an advantage over other applicants with only high school diplomas.
